Add headers, footers, and reusable sections

Once you've imported your image file into Inkbrush, you can add headers, footers, and other reusable sections to your email. You can also reuse these in new and existing emails.

  1. Click .
    Note: If you've uploaded both mobile and desktop designs, both designs are displayed in the Manage Sections panel.

  2. To upload a separate header, footer, or other section that can be used in this and all other emails, do the following:
    1. In the Manage Sections panel, click Upload designs. The Add another design to this email dialog is displayed.
    2. Click Choose file, and then select the image file for your reusable section.
    3. In the Show this design on field, specify the device type your reusable section.
    4. (Optional) To add a tag to your reusable section, in the Tag this section with field, enter a tag. This helps you manage all reusable sections that have been uploaded for your account.
    5. Click Start Upload. The new design is added to the email.
  3. To reuse existing sections in your email, do the following:
    1. In the Manage Sections panel, click Reuse parts from other emails. A listing of all reusable sections from all of your templates is displayed.
    2. To filter the listing of reusable sections by device type, from the Responsiveness drop-down list, select a device filter.
    3. To filter the listing of reusable sections by tag, from the Tagged with drop-down list, select a tag. Or, in the Design, Responsiveness, and Tags column, click a tag that's been applied to an existing section.
    4. To rename or delete any existing tags, click Manage tags. Then, on the Manage Tags page, in the Actions column, click Rename or Delete for the specific tag.
    5. To reset any filters you've applied and view all reusable sections, click Reset.
    6. To view or modify any reusable section, in the Number of emails used in column, click View or Edit for the specific section.
    7. To add a tag to an existing section, in the Actions column, click Tag. Then, enter one or more tag names, and then click Add Tag.
    8. Once you've located the section you want to use, in the Actions column, click Add this part to email.
  4. To reorder the sections of your email, in the Manage Sections panel, locate the section that you want to reorder. Then, click Reposition, and then drag the section to the desired position.
    Note: If you're including headers and footers, make sure that you drag your headers to the top of the Manage Sections panel and your footers to the bottom of the panel. Also, if your campaign includes both mobile and desktop designs and you're including headers and footers, make sure you upload separate headers and footers for each device.
