Add text to a cell

Once you've imported your image file into Inkbrush, you can add text to any cell that you've defined in your email template.

  1. Click .
  2. In your email template, click the cell you want to add text to; an editing panel appears to the left of your template.
  3. Click the Text tab.
  4. From the Vertical Align drop-down list, select an alignment for your text.
  5. To adjust the padding of in your cell, under Extra Padding, specify values for the left, top, and right padding.
  6. To change the background color of the cell, select the Has a background color check box, and click . Then, specify a color, and click Set Color.
    Note: Inkbrush automatically recommends background colors based on the colors already in your email template. However, you can manually select a color by doing either of the following:
    • Click , and choose a color using the color picker.
    • In the text box provided, enter a hex value for a color.
  7. In your email, locate your text region, and enter the text that you want to appear in the cell.

    The following table lists the formatting options for your text.

  8. To add a custom text style, under Text & Font Styles, click . You can then enter the details for your new text style.

    As you modify your text style, a preview or your text is displayed.

    1. In the Name field, enter a name for your text style.
    2. From the Tag drop-down list, enter a tag type to apply to your text style.
    3. To change the font family, from the Font drop-down list, select a font family. To add your own font, click the plus icon to the right of the Font drop-down list, and enter your font. This font must be installed on your computer.
    4. To change the font size, in the Size field, enter a size in pixels.
    5. To change the line height of your text, in the Line Height field, enter a height in pixels.
    6. To change the color of your font style, in the Color field, click . Then, specify a color, and click Done.
      Note: Inkbrush automatically recommends background colors based on the colors already in your email template. However, you can manually select a color by doing either of the following:
      • Click , and choose a color using the color picker.
      • In the text box provided, enter a hex value for a color.
    7. To add bold formatting to your text, from the B drop-down list, select a bold formatting option.
    8. To add italics formatting to your text, from the I drop-down list, select an italics formatting option.
    9. To add underline formatting to your text, from the U drop-down list, select an underline formatting option.
    10. To adjust the line height, select the Line Height check box, and specify the new height.
    11. When you're done entering the details for your new text style, click Create Text Style.
  9. To apply all of your text changes to the cell, click Update Cell.
